Dubai Aerospace Enterprise


Introduction

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise is building a globally recognized Aerospace corporation with operations from aircraft leasing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and Aviation IT solutions, it is creating an innovative business that builds on Dubai’s dynamism and continuous growth in Aviation. DAE is currently made up of three divisions – DAE Capital, DAE Engineering and DAE Services.

Launched in February 2006, DAE aims to use its unique business mix to offer innovative capabilities across the multiple aviation spectrum. With a leadership team with over 150 years of combined industry experience, DAE is forming international partnerships at the highest level of industry and is supporting Dubai’s continued emergence as a globally renowned aerospace centre and aviation hub.

DAE is currently made up of three divisions:

  • DAE Capital - offering tailored aircraft leasing solutions and expert financial consulting services.
  • DAE Engineering - providing world-class nose-to-tail aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations, comprehensive engine maintenance, repair and services as well as aircraft completions and conversions.
  • DAE Services - an emerging airport solutions provider offering technology-based optimization products and services to airlines and airport operators on a global basis.

DAE’s shareholders include the Investment Corporation of Dubai, Dubai International Capital, DIFC Investments LLC, EMAAR, ISTITHMAR World, and Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO).

People

Acting CEO: George Mushahwar joined DAE as acting CEO in July 2008.
Previously, Mushahwar was previously Chief Operating Officer at TECOM Investments responsible for managing its investments portfolio in addition to his operating responsibilities ranging from policy setting, legislative and regulatory aspects to portfolio management. This role encompassed Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, Knowledge Village, DuBiotech, Dubai Outsource Zone, International Media Production Zone, the Dubai Studio City development and other companies in the portfolio.
